Was anyone else really bothered by the cinematography in Hunger Games?
I’ve seen the movie twice now. As a graphic novel artist and wannabe storyboard artist, the cinematography was pretty horrible to me. I couldn’t tell what has happening half the time because they would zoom in on a hand, or zoom in on a blurry cupcake, or the side of Katniss’s face(which was covered by hair so you couldn’t tell her expression or what she was even looking at). There were waaayyy too many shaky cam shots, wayyy worse than Cloverfield. Even shakey cam footage for things that didn’t didn’t need it (like walking into the train?)
In essence, if you’re trying to learn storyboarding, don’t take notes from the Hunger Games.
So. I came home for spring break last friday. And up until then, my computer was working perfectly fine. Saturday I tried to do some work on my comic, but I was getting the pinwheel of death every couple of seconds. I got really frustrated and took it to Best Buy because I had a three year support thing. I’ve left it there since sunday, and I called them today to see what was going on. They said they couldn’t recover any of my files, and that I’d have to ship it off for about three weeks to see if they might get some stuff off. The last time I backed up my macbook was a month ago………..
And while my dad bought me a back up computer, I still feel like my hearts in my stomach right now. I’ve lost probably a good 30 pages of Irrational Fears Girl. And maybe a good 20 pages of another comic I’ve been working on. I don’t know what to do! My guts telling me to take back my computer from them and have my dad’s guy try to fix it, even if I can’t get back my files. I saved 3/4 of my homework assignments on a flash drive…so I’m covered there. But I lost all my comics.(not all, but a good majority). And I’ve basically wasted a week of work time because I thought Best Buy would be able to save my stuff (and why didn’t they call me earlier to tell me my computer was trashed??).
Why is everything kicking me in the butt right now?? I just lost my dog last monday, and now my computer.
